Center for Research
The mission of the University of New
England (UNE)/Spurwink Center for Research is to conduct research
that improves the health and quality of life for our most vulnerable
populations and to enhance the interactive influence of research,
clinical practice, service system functioning and public policy.
Research topics range from biomedical projects to social, behavioral,
and service delivery system research, and outcomes-oriented
evaluation.
Working in partnership with the University of New England,
the UNE/Spurwink Center for Research examines service system
designs, financing mechanisms, and policies related to the
attainment of outcomes in clients’ lives and impact on
social environments.
The UNE/Spurwink Center for Research assesses clinical and
service system integration within and across all service sectors
and its relation to outcomes and efficacy.
The UNE/Spurwink Center for Research cultivates collaborative
relationships with community-based agencies and organizations
with whom we share common interests for joint research leading
to action outcomes.
